FCC Camp: Unique Experiences

I know it has been a while since I wrote. Been busy at work. And then, I went for the Faith City Church 11th Annual Camp. It was conducted at Kuttikanam, Kerala, India from 13 – 16th April, 2006. FCC Camps are always a great experience and this one did not disappoint.

The theme for the camp was “Spiritual Warfare”. With a topic like that, it is easy to understand that everything did not go easy. (For those who do not know or believe, Satan is real and working.)

There were around 1700 delegates from around the country and the main focus of the camp was to equip them with the Spiritual Armour – Belt of truth, Breastplate of righteousness, Feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of the God (Read Ephesians 6).

I learnt a lot of things there – I will sharing all those here in the coming days.

I got the opportunity to lead worship in a time of crisis and the unique chance to lead children in worship (my first!). The time of crisis was when wind and rain brought down part of the main tent (it was a temporary structure – it is called a pandal in India). It was incredible to see people supporting the pillars of the tent so that everyone could continue worshipping the Lord then.

It would have been easy to wind up and walk away. But God is who He is and we trusted Him. We shifted the venue to a college auditorium and continued from next morning.

It was a miracle from Day 1. And everyone enjoyed the Lord there (whatever the situation).

Have you trusted God in your situation/circumstance today?
